Elemis Fresh Skin Range | Wonderful You Review

Hello my lovelies :) Hope you're all well, and excited for the weekend? I'm still feeling very poorly, but I'm off to the X-Factor tour tomorrow night. Bear with me whilst I compose myself at the fact JAMES ARTHUR will be serenading me - major effin' boy crush right there. What is it with a boy that can sing, eh?
Asides from my eagerness for tomorrow the reason for this post is because I was recently contacted by the wonderful people of Elemis. This brand is one that I see as more 'high-end' and luxurious, so I was eager to try some of their skincare range out...

First things first, I just love the packaging – subtle and pretty, something that looks nice on your bathroom shelf but isn’t screaming look at me I’m the most outrageous packaging you’ve ever seen.
Secondly foaming facial washes are one of my favourite’s - I don’t get along with balm or cream cleansers, something about them makes my skin flare up. Now, I already have a firm favourite facial wash, that helps me control my breakouts (post coming soon) which I use in the evening before bed, but I’ve been using this Peachy Perfect facial wash each morning. It’s subtle peach scent and light consistency is very refreshing and definitely helps to wake me up (in another life, I am a sloth). It lathers really well, so you don’t need to use too much product in one hit and the pump applicator makes that even easier.
For £12.00 it’s up there with the affordable skincare products and being Elemis, the price is pleasantly surprising. My skin type is combination/oily and it definitely helps to control my oil breakouts midday, as well as keep my skin hydrated and not too tight. If you have sensitive skin, this may be a touch too harsh for you although it doesn’t leave mine gasping for moisturiser.

Tired Eyes - Soothing Eye Rescue £15.00 15ml
I think you all probably know by now but I am a true believer in a jolly good eye cream. You must must must make the effort to look after your little eyes; after all they’re one of the first to show signs of ageing…crow feet and all that. I love that this is a 15ml product; it means I can pop it in my handbag and carry it around with me for on the go refreshers. Now on first application of this I was a little bit dubious, it’s a gel so obviously has a different effect to a cream but I did find this quite sticky whilst it was drying/soaking into my skin. Luckily I don’t suffer with puffy eyes (which this promises to combat) however, it definitely cooled and hydrated my eyes which is definitely something I look for in on-the-move products.

Softly Softly - Daily Moisturiser: £20 50ml
Again, loving the pump applicator. On first application I instantly thought of Liz Earle's moisturiser. It had a very similar scent and the consistency is quite heavy. My skin is quite problematic, and I'm not sure that this moisturiser is right for my skin type. I am prone to breakouts, with a very oily t-zone. This product takes quite a long time to sink into the skin - I'd have to say that I would probably only use this as a night time moisturiser in winter, when my skin is exceptionally dry. On a positive note, my skin definitely looks brighter when wearing this which is always a plus :)

First up the Quenching Face Mask...now my face doesn't really need 'quenching' it's already pretty drenched in oil (how gross does that sound), so I knew that trying this out would cause a breakout on my skin type. It was a very light mask, more like a really really heavy moisturiser, so if you're suffering with terribly dry skin and want something to bring some hydration back I think this could work quite well. I must admit though, I'd probably prefer a heavier moisturiser to apply before bed. After washing it off my skin did feel very smooth, but being oily and spot prone my face wasn't very happy the next day.
The Deep Clean Purifying Mask on the other hand was right up my street. As with most clay masks you leave it on for approx 10 minutes, or until it's dry. It was instantly cooling which was lovely, and after washing it off my skin felt squeaky clean - literally it felt like it had ripped the rubbish-ness right out. Definitely a keeper.

Overall, I feel like I've discovered some really yummy, affordable products to add to my skincare routine - even if I wasn't blow away by it all!
What do you think - have you tried anything from the Elemis Fresh Skin Range?

Bourjois Magic Nail Polish Remover | Wonderful You Review

For some of you, this post might not be at all interesting. This little product has been making it’s way around the beauty blogosphere for the past year like no tomorrow and I’m finally reviewing it.
Personally, ‘doing’ my nails is an absolute chore - I hate painting them, because I am messy and have no patience and I absolutely detest removing nail varnish. Sometimes I’ll even be naughty and just peel it off because I can’t be bothered to get the cotton wool and remover out (am I the worst beauty blogger ever?).
My lovely Aunty is constantly on the lookout for new beauty products for me to try, test and review on here for you guys. And we were both far too excited when she got her hands on this baby in Boots (it had been out of stock for god knows how long).
If you’ve been living under a rock and haven’t seen/heard about this, it’s basically a nail polish remover that claims to take off your nail varnish in one second. You simply pop your finger in the top and when you take it out, the polish is gone!
First off I was genuinely more excited to do my nails, simply so I could take my nail varnish off. If nothing else this product is fantastic purely for the fact that there is no sticky cotton wool or spillages of potent remover.

The product itself, to me is incredible. Okay so they’re totally lying when they say it removes the polish in ONE SECOND, I’m sorry but very little in this life happens in one second let alone stubborn nail polish! I would say you have to hold your finger in there for a few seconds and then twist the bottle round your finger once to sweep the polish away. And honestly, the polish is gone (does that make anyone else think of the Cillit Bang advert?). I’m not going to tell fibs and say that it removes glitter polish as well as regular polish, but it still does the job it just takes a little longer. However on your typical run of the mill nail varnish it 100% halves the time it would usually take.
For £4.99 I wouldn’t consider this product high-end or too expensive, I definitely think it’s affordable and I’ve had mine for a few months now and it’s still going strong so it’s not an expensive product to add to the ‘necessities’ list of beauty!
It’s a must have for me and I don’t think I’ll ever be returning back to the cotton wool routine (sorrynotsorry).
I would love to know what you lovely lot think about this – have you tried it before? Or do you think you’d like to?
If you want to pick it up from your local Boots, you can do so here

My Australia Haul | Zara, Topshop, The Body Shop & more!

I thought you lovely lot might want to see the bits I picked up :) the majority of it is clothes, but there are a few beauty products thrown in there too. Whilst I was in Australia I thought it was appropriate to spend all my spending money on clothes. Apparently, when you're abroad it doesn't matter how much you spend. (Please Note: I am now on a spending ban for the rest of life).
I really enjoyed filming again - it felt like forever! As always - if you have any particular requests for video's please do let me know :)

I'm currently still in bed - and not really sure I'm going to do much else than that today. I'm being a proper lazy bum. Fantastic Mr. Fox and a cup of tea, thank you very much.

My Dark Under Eye Circles Miracle | Bobbi Brown

I don’t know how many times I’ve whimpered to my friends and family about the dark circles under my eyes. I’ve had them since I was a baby and it’s taken me a long time to come to terms with the fact that it’s just a genetic thing and they’re not going anywhere without some kind of cosmetic procedure which I’m far too petrified to even investigate. (Before you say it – yes I get plenty of sleep, usually over 8 hours a night and drink over 2 litres of water a day).
All the girls on my mum’s side of the family have them and since I can remember we’ve all been searching for the ‘bestest’ way to conceal them. For a long time I’ve used YSL’s touché éclat highlighter (which is amazing) – but I have discovered a combination that literally blows that baby out of the park…
Bobbi Brown Hydrating Eye Cream & Bobbi Brown Corrector in Light Bisque
Let me introduce to you the Bobbi Brown Hydrating Eye Cream and Corrector. Firstly, how frickin' gorgeous is the packaging?!
You’ve probably seen the Corrector floating around the blogosphere for ages now – it is used for the under eye area and it’s salmony pink tones are perfect for evening out the black and blue shadows that haunt my eyes. If your circles aren’t too bad, I suppose you could use it instead of your concealer however for me, I use it as a base and put my concealer over the top. I’ve heard mixed reviews about it being cakey – nonetheless I was so super excited when I got to the Bobbi Brown counter in Selfridge’s and the assistant was applying it but when I looked in the mirror it literally looked like I’d wiped creamy cake under my eyes, I almost walked off pretty disgusted as I’d heard such great things, but I thought I’d let the assistant offer an explanation. She advised that my under eye area was so de-hydrated that there wasn’t a smooth service for the corrector to sit on, hence the cakey look. I was pretty bummed.
Then she went and made my LIFE and whipped out their hydrating under eye cream to see if that made any difference to the finish. She removed all my makeup and applied the cream directly under the eye. I almost slapped her hand away when she started – as you’ll probably know it’s a big no-no in the beauty world to apply eye cream directly under the eyes. I was quickly corrected and advised that this particular cream was specifically made for application under the eye to hydrate and revitalise. After application (used with a cotton bud, as not to spread germs within the cream) she left it for a few moments to sink in before applying the corrector over the top.
OH EM GEE - literally I nearly cried. I’ve never seen my eyes look like that before, and perhaps it’s more of a personal thing more than something you can see in real life, I don’t know. But what I do know is that I felt amazing for the first time ever. That probably sounds so dramatic, but when you suffer with circles like I do you’ll know where I’m coming from.

So this little combination is now a staple in my daily makeup routine - thank you Bobbi Brown!! I apply the cream, followed by the corrector and then follow on with my foundation etc. etc. (Note: I'm not wearing foundation in the above photograph, just the Bobbi Brown products and my concealer). Thought you might like to see how it shows up on natural skin :)
I’d be really keen to hear if anyone else has tried these two together, and what they thought. It’s quite a pricey daily luxury, but I’m so glad that I’ve found it. If you want to pick some up, you can do so here and here.

Rimmel Wake Me Up Instant Radiance Shimmer Touch

Oooh I just couldn't wait to share this little beauty with you! I've always been a powder blush kinda gal - and I haven't really experimented too much with highlighters. If you're like me, or if you simply can't be bothered with applying both - this product is 100% for you. The Rimmel Wake Me Up Radiance Shimmer Touch (mouthful!!) in Radiant Rose. It's pretty much a mix of cream blush and highlighter rolled into one and is so quick and easy.
It's in a dinky little squeezy bottle, which means it's perfect for using on the go or when you're travelling (hello Australia makeup bag).
c/o Semichem
It gives a really subtle warm glow and I'm pretty damn impressed. The colour is quite rich but not at all harsh. I tried taking a few photo's with it on, but I wear it so lightly that the camera couldn't really pick it up. Keep an eye out for my Australia post and you'll be able to see me sporting it in a few of the pictures!

What do you think? Have you tried this out yet? For £4.99 you can't really go wrong eh? :)

My Daily Skincare Routine | Video

Good Afternoon my loverlies! Hope you all had a fab weekend and that you're not suffering from the Monday Blues :) Today actually feels like it's mid week, I'm surprisingly chirpy!
Anyway...I've filmed another video for y'all. It's my Daily Skincare Routine, which I've recently changed up. I've said a sad goodbye to Clinique and a warm hello to a new brand. If you want have a little nose, go have a watch. I've listed all the products in the down-bar of the video, if you want to read up more about them :)

I also received some rather disturbing comments on my channel yesterday; I was really shocked, being the first derogatory comment on any of my videos - but I suppose it was always going to come, nonetheless I did feel a little bit ill at what they said. (if you want to see the comment, I did post one of the screen shots on twitter). I think using the big wide web to discuss your passions can be a bit of a dangerous ball game, you definitely have to be thick skinned and let the negativity roll off you. I thought I would always be able to do that, but it did leave me a bit worried. Anyhow, on-wards and upwards and their vile comments have been reported and the user blocked from my account. I'll have none of that nastiness thank you very much :)
Have a lovely week you lot, and please do let me know if there's any other videos you'd like to see?

Lady GaGa Perfume | FAME

I love Lady GaGa, I realise she's not to everyone's taste but honestly, what a woman. And her talents don't cease at creating fantastic records, no no. She's been working on a brand new fragrance over the past two years and this is the result:

I'm not usually on the whole hype for celebrity frangrances; I mean, they're popular for something else, not making us smell good right? Well, if you're thinking that with this one, DON'T. It's frickin' amazing.

Firstly the packaging = in LOVE. It's not over the top and extravagant like you'd expect from someone as extrovert as GaGa, but it's definitely different. No your eyes aren't deceiving you, that's black fluid right there. It's the first in the market and may be slightly daunting for some, but fear not. The fluid sprays transparent so there's no staining or looking like you've spilled some black tar down your neck. I absolutely love the gold claw clasp, and it pops off ever so easily.

Secondly the scent. Dear GOD ladies, this is literally sexy times in a bottle. I am head over heels in love and have never sprayed a scent on my arm before and wanted to constantly sniff myself for hours on end haha. It's a fruity, flowery scent (again, something I wasn't expecting from her). And instead of following the usual perfume rules, of exploiting top, middle and base notes the scent is focused on Dark, Sensual and Light accords - which basically means combining single scents together.
The scents included on the description are: "tears of belladonna, crushed heart of tiger orchidea with a black veil of incense, pulverized apricot and the combinative essences of saffron and honey drops".
I think the scent is probably targeted to the younger woman. It's fresh and fruity but I'd also say it has quite a musky hint to it, which is something I always look for in a perfume. The staying power is ridiculous, it stays on my skin for years (not literally, I do wash, but y'know what I'm saying). And it smells so expensive and luxurious.

Thirdly the price. In my eyes, it's so affordable. This little bottle of 30ml cost me just over £20 from The Perfume Shop and I think the most expensive bottle (100ml) retails at just over £50. I opted for the smaller bottle, just in case I ended up hating it - which I don't, but I'll definitely be buying the bigger bottle when I run out. BEST SMELL EVER.

What do you think ladies? Have you tried this yet?

While Megs is away | The Perfect Base Guest Post | Lil Miss Chickas

Next up on the 'Guest Blogging' list is the scrummy Charlotte of Lil Miss Chickas. I'm in love with her blog, and if you're one that's obsessed with beauty, then this is the blog for you! Plus, she's such a lovely lady too. Her post is all about finding the perfect foundation, definitely something I'm interested in.....

If there is one beauty related wish that every blogger would wish for it would be to find that foundation that would give you the perfect base.  Foundation is like the white undercoat you put on when painting your wall.  Once you have the pefect base coat you can then go on and do all the pretty detailing.  Of course that is where the comparison between paint and make up should stop and those that apply foundation like it were paint should really consider why they do that.  Of course in a perfect world we would all have flawless skin; no spots or dry patches and we wouldn't need foundation.  Sadly for many of us this isn't the case and we rely on our foundation to mask our imperfection and highlight our best feautures.

My quest for the perfect base started when I was 16, I made the step from drug store to make up counter and started to take more of an interest in what I was putting on my face.  Below charts the story of my 'Quest for the Perfect Foundation' and the three foundations that I now reach towards.

Mac Studio Fix Fluid

Funnily enough Mac Studio Fix starts and ends this story.  This was the first foundation that I ever bought at a make up counter and I have unintentionally come back to it every time.  I've tried to sway from it, I really have, but I just keep finding myself restocking when I pass a Mac counter.  This gives medium to full coverage but never leaves you with that caked-on look.  I use this as my winter foundation when I need a touch more coverage.  I do however find this foundation a little drying so I always make sure my skin is full of moisture.  If it feels too dry I will shy away from my trusted Mac favourite.

Laura Mercier Tinited Moisturiser

It took me a while to buy into the whole tinited moisturier game.  My mother has sworn by it for years and refuses to use anything else.  I was a little skeptical at first but since discovering the Laura Merier one am a total convert!  There are so many benefits in using a tinted moistuser.  Number One, it moisturises the skin whilst providing coverage.  Number two; Its much lighter than foundation for when you only want minimal coverage (like in the summer months) and Number three, if you can't access your moisturiser for an reason, don't sweat it, you can just use this.  The Laura Mercier Tinited Moisturiser is a dream to use for all the above and I have just found it lasts better that oother TM's

YSL Touche Eclat

This is a new find of mine and I am in love!!  This is quite possibley my favourite foundation of all time.  I glides on to the skin with ease, buffs in quickly and iluminates my whole face.  I go from having tired looking to radient skin in a matter of minutes.  It lasts for ages and doesn't turn orange as the day goes on.  I really could gush about this all day.  HOWEVER it does have one negitive factor.  No SPF! Not good if you want to wear in the day (even on cloudy days whe should be using SPF).  I don't understand why YSL failed to put this in!  I do have to slip on a primer if I wear this in the day to counter the lack of SPF but to spin this into a postive there is ZERO flashback when being photographed at night with it on.

So there you have it.  My quest for the perfect foundation has momentarily ceased thanks to these three little beauties.  Of course as my skin evolves I will have to pick the search back up but for now I am satisfied.  For full reviews of the three products just click on their names.  I'd love to know what others reach for for the perfect base.  Please tell!!

Topshop Lipstick | Fire Cracker

The Topshop make up range is not one I’ve explored in any great detail. Why? I don’t know, because I ruddy love their lipsticks. I don’t know what it is with lipsticks and my lips, but they just won’t stay put. All my MAC ones slide off within a matter of minutes (okay that’s a slight exaggeration, maybe a bit longer), but I only have a select few lippies that I always turn to for their longevity on the lips and Topshop is one of them.
Infrared is one of my ultimate faves so when I spotted ‘Fire Cracker’ it was an immediate must have. I love the brightness and the velvet finish it leaves. I only needed to apply one sweep of this for full coverage and a super bright pigmentation.

One of the many things I love about the Topshop make up range is the packaging. Yes it's plain and simple, but that's me all over and I think it is so cute!! I haven't got much to go on, only owning one other lippy by them but you'd assume being a cream packaging it would get really grubby, I haven't found that at all (and it's not sitting pristine on a shelf, it's shoved in with all my makeup in a big box). These retail for £8 each, which is probably just above average for a high street makeup brand, but c'mon it's Topshop, what do we expect ;). And honestly, I don't mind paying this price tag, nope not one bit. The quality is definitely up there with the higher end brands such as NARS; which I think is saying something.
Being a matte velvet finish I was concerned that it would be drying on my lips, but it's surprisingly moisturising. Obviously, everyone is different so there's the possibility that the formulation may not work for you, but I am in love!

Orange is definitely proving to be my favourite lipstick colour, and this shade, for me is perfection. It's not as 'in your face' as a red, but it's bold enough to say 'hello, yes, I am wearing a statement lipstick and loving it' kind of thing, y'know? Perfect for summer and it will definitely be travelling along with me to Italy on Saturday! *dances round in a circle whilst chanting HOLIDAY at the top of my lungs* I am ridiculously excited.

I'm completely impressed with this lippy and it's encouraged me to dabble in a bit more of their make-up range. So if you have any products you'd recommend, be sure to let me know!

What do you think? Are you a fan of Orange or Topshop Lipsticks for that matter?

Instagram Diaries | Issue #2

I'm off work and currently in bed feeling extremely sorry for myself with a nasty sickness bug, so today's post will be short and sweet. I've failed miserably to keep up with my instagram posts, sorry! I'm thinking instead of doing a weekly one, which has the potential to get a bit monotonous, I'd stick to an 'every now and then' sort of post :) plus, my life really isn't that interesting, haha. Hope you don't mind!

Monthly Favourite's | July | Video #7

This picture is completely irrelevant to the post, but I’ve been playing around with my new camera lots this weekend; and I loved the little bumble bee hiding…can you spot him?
Anyway, I know as always I am hugely late for monthly favourites but here it is for your perusal, should you so wish :)
My fave products for the month have turned out to be really quite expensive, which wasn’t at all on purpose. Apologies for that!
Have you all had a lovely weekend? Mine consisted of a small gathering of friends last night, and being hugely lazy for the rest of it, perfect in my eyes. I’ll be jetting off on my holidays in 2 weeks’ time; so in all honesty I’m just trying to be super good with my monies. I.e. not spending anything, unless it’s completely necessary *cough* anything in the sale *cough*….Yeah I suck at reigning it in.

Eyebrows | Benefit Brow Zings

Once upon a time, I used absolutely nothing on my eyebrows. I know crazy right? I don't know why, I just never thought anything of it! Until a few years ago when I was cornered by the Benefit lady in Debenhams and she scuttled me over to her little stool and carried out a HUGE makeover. I'm not one for heavy make-up, I just don't like it. I tried a MAC foundation once and literally felt like I had cement on my face. Anyway given that, there was only one product that really stood out to me: Brow Zings. Honestly, I was blown away. I couldn't believe how different it made me look! If you've not heard of brow zings before, it's basically just a brow shaping kit - simples.
Being a Benefit product, it's not cheap. It comes with a nice heavy price tag of £22.50. However this little compact is such a treat; it comes complete with an inbuilt mirror, two application brushes and a pair of tweezers. Which in my eyes, is great value for money. It works differently to any other brow enhancer I've tried before, inside the little compact you'll find (along with the other goodies) a palette. On one side there is a dark gel, and on the other a powder. The gel is there to help shape and define your brows, and the powder is used to set the brows and fill in any gaps. I believe your meant to use the gel first followed by the powder, however I dab my brush into the gel and then directly into the powder and apply it that way. I feel it gives a more natural look rather than painting your brows with the gel :) It also has fantastic staying power, you won't find it rubbing off halfway through the day, or smudging down your face. Another plus is the products longevity, I've had this for way over 6 months and I've barely touched the surface!

(Excuse the state of my eyebrows, I'm currently in the process of making them a bit thicker, hence the stragglers!)
This kit comes in 3 different shades, so it's suitable for blondie's too! My shade is in Medium, so there's still room to go darker if that's the look you like!

What do you think lovey's? Have you tried this product before? Or do you have a favourite brow-shaper that I should know about? :)

Take a Little Care | Antipodes Eye Cream

This next sentence is going to sound hugely cliché, but hey, it’s true. Since I can remember, looking after my skin has been one of my favourite things to do; & something I will rarely compromise on. I truly believe that in more cases than not, you get what you pay for.
I have the most sensitive skin known to man; it is so unbelievably difficult for me to find a brand/product that I can use on my face without it going absolutely mental & breaking out in a zillion spots. Hence why I have to be quite selective with what I try out & expense is rarely spared.
I recently discovered a lovely little New Zealand brand called Antipodes through the ever gorgeous Estee of EssieButton. I’d been on the hunt for a jolly good eye cream & had a little read on theirs& was instantly intrigued.

As with most eye creams, it’s fragrance free to avoid irritation & it has a gorgeous, thick, creamy consistency that I love. In this day & age, I definitely follow the crowd in terms of loving products that have 100% natural ingredients, it just makes it more appealing don’t you think? This little pot is full of yummy ingredients, such as kiwi seed, avocado, aloe gel & carrot seed oil. The first, kiwi, is known to help with tissue repair so it’s a definite must have for any of you ladies/gents who suffer (like I do) with dark circles under the eye, & it's also famously rich in Vitamin C. The others are bursting with anti-ageing antioxidants, natural sun screen & natural healers of scars or age spots. Meaning that this pot of joy pretty much caters for everyone's needs :)
It has quite a hefty price tag, but who doesn’t want to take care of their eyes? If you don't, you should. They’re one of the most sensitive parts of your body & deserve a lot of love & care. Retailing at $48 (converting to £24.68, right now), it’s definitely not cheap but I’ve been using it for a few months now & I’d say it’s 100% worth the money. My eye area has always lacked moisture & can become quite dry & flaky when I’m not looking after it properly. Using this cream day & night has cleared up any dryness, made the area slightly plumper, reduced any smile lines & I’ve even seen an improvement on my dark circles! They’re not gone (god knows if they’ll ever shift), but the bruising has definitely reduced & the area certainly looks brighter and healthier.
I'm totally in love with this brand, & can't wait to try some more of their products. I'm particularly interested in their Joyous Protein, Rich Night Replenish Serum...
Don't forget - never apply eye cream directly under your eyes! Always apply along the brow & cheek bones; the product will then sink into the skin and aid the areas that require moisture.
Well, what do you think? Is eye cream something you've invested in? What's your favourite brand to use if so?

Messy Up Do | Bun Tutorial | Video #5

Wahooooo, it’s Friday! I don’t know about anyone else, but how bloomin’ long has this week been?! I haven’t looked forward to a weekend so much in a long time.

Anyway, here’s video #5 for ya’ll. It’s my first tutorial, so be kind. I felt a bit silly doing it, but every time I film a video I always ask at the end if anyone fancies seeing anything in particular, & the only thing that’s ever asked is ‘please can you do a bun tutorial’. There’s got to be over a million & one videos of girlies showing you how they achieve this look, but for some reason you guys wanted to see mine....
So, without further ado *inserts drum roll* here it is….me looking like a complete plonker in front of the camera :)

Haha, hope I don't look like too much of a fool!!
Have you lovely lot got much on this weekend? I’m keeping my fingers crossed the sun keeps on shining!

Beauty & Clothing Haul Video

Hi Lovelies!

So here's my second YouTube video! Eek.. Firstly, let me apologise for the AWFUL quality, I look like a ghost & on my computer it comes out really blurred (obviously suck at technology). I've just got a new camera, so hopefully I'll be producing some higher quality video's soon. Please let me know if you think it's too rubbish to film ones like these, & i'll stop using it :)

It's a bit of a mixed haul on some bits and bobs I've picked up recently; featuring beauty products from Superdrug & a mixture of clothing from various shops.
Hope you enjoy it! If you've got any suggestions for any more videos you'd like me to film, just let me know in the comments below.

Have you bought anything new recently? I've put myself on a bit of a spending ban for the next month or so. My blog is constantly my excuse to purchase anything & everything! ;)

Mini Boots Haul!

I took a little trip to my local boots a few weekends ago, & picked up a few of my beauty essentials, along with a few newbie’s I hadn’t tried before. I absolutely love Boots, & could literally spend days in there, if I was allowed ha-ha.

Revlon ColorBurst™ Lip Butter - £5.99 (on offer, usually £7.99)
Firstly I picked up one of the infamous Revlon Lip Butter’s, in Tutti Frutti. I really love the packaging & the colour is soooo yummy; love myself a bit of orange! Obviously, being a lip butter, the formula is very sheer, & quite glossy. It applies really well & you can build it up if you want a heavier finish. They’re also quite moisturizing, & not at all drying on the lips. The only downfall for me is that they get used up so quickly, such a weak formula doesn’t stay around for too long; but you can’t have it all can you! I’ll definitely be repurchasing this one & a few more colours too. It’s currently on offer at Boots, so get yourself down there & grab a few!

Collection 2000 Glam Crystals – £2.99
This liquid liner is something I’ve been purchasing since I was 17…over 6 years! (You do the math ;)). I just love it. I tend to use it all along the bottom eye, just below my lashes; & sometimes on the tips of my liquid eyeliner wings. It’s not an everyday product, just for when I’m going out for dinner, drinks or something like that. It adds a lovely touch of sparkle & goes with almost any look!

Optrex Eyedew Dazzling Eye Drops - 10ml - £4.15
Now, I’ve heard a LOT of good things about said eye drops. Can I just say, I am not impressed.
Optrex Eyedew Dazzling Eye Drops will give you super white dazzling eyes and are suitable for all eye colours.”
I’m afraid; they just didn’t work for me at all. Firstly, my GOD did they sting my eyes. I’m not entirely sure why, as my eyes aren’t particularly sensitive to drops usually, but literally, I couldn’t open my eyes without them really stinging. & secondly, needless to say, they did not make my eyes whiter. They made them much redder. I did try using them on a few more occasions & the same thing happened each time. I was pretty bummed; I was looking forward to having dazzling eyes!! I know a few ladies who use them that have blue eyes & they haven’t had a problem, but my greenies couldn't seem to take it...

No7 Stay Perfect Nail Colour 220 Tangy - £7
So, after spending on those three products, I got given a no.7 £5 off voucher…I couldn’t wait, because I’m Megan, & I’m impatient, so I scuttled straight over to their counter to see what I could find. The nail varnish immediately popped out at me! I think the colour is beautiful,(it’s orange, ;)). If you want to see the finish it gives, you can take a look at my post here, where I’m wearing it. It has a really thick consistency; you could probably get away with just 1 coat, which is great value. It’s long lasting & the brush is quite long and spreads across the whole nail, both qualities that I love in nail varnishes. & seeing as I picked it up with my voucher, I only spent £2 on it, BARGAIN!

Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer - £4.19
Now, I'm sure you will have spotted this product around every ladies blog, but it is amazing. For such a low price you get a hell of a lot of coverage! It's quite light, but can be built up really easily. I suffer with awfully dark circles under my eyes & this has been an absolute god send - blows some of the high-end brands out of the water!

Collection 2000 Fast Stroke Eyeliner - Black (I can't remember the exact price, but I think it's about £4.99)
I have been using this little bad boy for years now. It's probably not the best liquid eye-liner out there, but it works so well for me & for such a good price, I think I'll be sticking with it for a few more years to come! I think you may be able to spot a little Collection 2000 trend going on in my make-up bag? haha.

So, that's what I picked up on my little haul :) What do you think of the items I bought? Have you tried any of them before?
Also, I was thinking of doing a mixed haul on my YouTube channel, of a few more bits I picked up this weekend. Clothes, more beauty products etc. Let me know if it's something you'd like to see? :)

A Stupidly Late May Favourites!

Right, so I'm totally aware that we are now approaching the middle of June, but bear with me here...

I've decided to delve into the wonderful world that is YouTube. Eek, scared is not the word, & I probably sound/look like a complete numpty, but hey ho, I wanted to give it a shot. & if you don't try, you'll never know, right? :)

So, here they are, my monthly May faves:
Clinique Anti-Blemish Solutions Cleansing Foam, Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula, Bioderma Crealine H2O, Lollia Hand Cream

If you fancy it, have a little watch of the video, & let me know what you think! Hoping it will be a thumbs up :) If you don't fancy it, I've linked all the products in the caption thingy, so you can have a look at them. If you'd like me to do a full post on these, let me know too!

Burt's Bees Grab Bag

So, you may have seen a few blog posts floating around recently regarding the Burt’s Bees Grab Bag. I heard about it through Estée from Essiebutton & I immediately wanted one; I’m like a beauty product magpie, I wan’t anything that anyone says half a good word about! Basically, you paid £20, & in return got sent a big fat bag, full of Burt’s Bees products! Great concept, non? I think so :)
L-R: Exfoliating Body Washes (4), Radiance Body Lotion (2)
L-R: Eye Cream, Nail File, Lip Balm (2), Hand Cream, Cuticle Cream,Lip Shimmer (3), Cute tin!  :

I have no doubt that some bags were wonderful, but I wasn’t too thrilled with mine. I mean, I was being a bit ‘me, me, me’ when I purchased it; I wanted to try out Burt’s Bees, & thought this was a great way to test some of their products without spending a fortune. & I know, I know, before I moan, I was aware that Burt’s Bees had added a disclaimer advising that duplicates may occur; but I couldn’t help feeling a little upset that I got 4 of the exfoliating body washes and 2 of the body lotions (I didn’t mind so much about the 3 lip shimmers & 2 balms, you can never have enough lip balms right?). That’s a hell of a lot of the same product, don’t you think? But, I’ve decided to take a positive attitude towards the slight disappointment & use the extras for birthdays coming up etc. Every cloud & all that jazz.

I wont just moan for this entire post, promise. I was really, really happy to receive the little pots of their hand cream & cuticle cream; I’m also super excited to try the eye cream :) I’ve heard great things about all of these products, so fingers crossed! I'll definitely be reviewing these at a later date, once I've had a chance to test them out. On another good note, how cute is the little tin? I am a hoarder, of EVERYTHING in life, so I love collecting pretty little tins to put my bits & bobs in.

Overall, I am a bit miffed about the amount of duplicate items, but I still feel like I’ve got great value for money, apparently the bags are worth £55, wowee! I’m getting to try some products I haven’t before, & I’ve got some extra stock for presents. Not bad, eh?

I had a look on their website this morning, & I can see they’ve now sold out; but did any of you purchase a grab bag? Were you happy with what you got?
