Splash of Colour | Neon Love

Being poorly means I have little time for making an effort when I have to show my face in public. I apologise if I’m still looking a little peaky in these photo’s, but laryngitis took hold of me and wouldn’t budge for nearly two weeks! It was my little sister’s 15th birthday (god I feel old) and we all went out for lunch at a local restaurant. I had the yummiest duck salad for main and a berry frozen yoghurt for dessert – quite healthy for me! Any way I wanted to be comfy because I was still feeling a bit rubbish.
Jumper: c/o Mary Jane Fashion. Leggings: Topshop. Boots: H b Hudson of London. Bracelet: Jacey Withers
My Topshop velvet leggings I basically live in – they are the warmest most comfortable item of clothing I own and I’m gutted because they’ve completely sold out of the majority of sizes so I can’t buy myself another pair! Oversized baggy jumpers are also a staple in my winter wardrobe, you can throw them on with pretty much anything, feel cosy and still look like you’ve made an effort. I’m quite in love with this jumper to be honest – I love the neon coral and how it injects a bit of colour to a simple outfit - I think we'll be seeing a lot more of neon this season judging from London Fashion Week and I'm quite alright with that! I went for a size medium as I thought I’d prefer the larger fitting and I think it works well.
Now I'm on the road to recovery you should be seeing a few more outfit posts pop up here and there!
I hope you're all having a good week any way :) Daniel had an operation today, so I've been chilling with him and watching documentaries! (we're not geeks - promise)...

Fancy a Dip? Dye.

I'm quite sure that I didn't own anything tie-dye, until now. It's been a bit of a hype in the fashion community and not a band wagon that I was particularly on, so to speak. That was until I waltzed into Urban Outfitters last weekend and spotted this baby on the first rack.

The colours are just gorgeous and I love a good maxi skirt. It is literally the comfiest thing my lower half has ever had the pleasure of acquainting and I don't think I really want to take it off. Ever. It was a wee bit pricey (£40), but I had a voucher from my birthday and nothing else I spotted in the shop came close. The fabric is thick enough to keep your legs nice and toasty in the winter months, but it's also lovely and floaty (swish swish), so it doesn't cling to your things or ride up (I actually HATE that). Paired with a plain black-tee and my new hudson boots, it makes it casual enough for a lazy day outfit, although it could easily be jazzed up with some bling, if you know what I'm saying.

Skirt: Urban Outfitters. Top: H&M. Bag: Vintage. Boots: H by Hudson.

I hope you all had a lovely weekend? My beautiful nanny stayed with us this week and we spent the whole time sewing our socks off! She is literally the light of my life and I love her very much. (soppy little note there, but has to be said right?). She is always there for me and makes everything seem alright, even if it's not.

This week will mainly involve eating curry with a very special lady, and week 4 of my photography course! What have you yummy lot got planned?

Outfit Post | Rekindling Love - Topshop

For a while, Topshop lost my trust. They were throwing out pieces of clothing that to be frank, didn't fit the bill. The quality was getting poor, and the price tag was getting increasingly higher. So for a while, I said ciao! But it's as if they knew! The cheeky devils are slowly (but surely), bringing me back over to the dark side. There have been a few pieces of late that I just haven't been able to resist like this dress here, and this skirt I'm wearing below...

Sandals: River Island

I absolutely love it. It's like, do I want a long skirt on or a short skirt on? Hmm, I want both. VOILĂ€! the midi-skirt is definitely a must have for me and this one makes me want to purchase a few more. The shade is gorgeous and the cut makes for ultimate swhishy-ness, which we all know I love!
The gorgeous Lily, of I am Lily Bee was selling a few of her GORGEOUS clothes on ebay, (not gunna lie, want to be her a little bit ;)) and I snapped up this lovely little lace crop top for a fraction of the price it retailed at (also Topshop). I thought it went beautifully with the purple midi skirt, which retailed for £38. They don't have my one in stock any more, but they have brought out a new one which is a bit yummy in it's replacement, have a peek here if you like mine!

When I'm on holiday, I like to feel comfortable, but also look like I've made a bit of an effort with myself. And I think this outfit ticks both boxes, do you?

Life in general is not so peachy at the moment. I won’t go into any detail, but I will say a big thank you for all your lovely comments on my blog as of late. It really makes my day brighter :) (Apologies for that slice of cheese there, but it felt necessary). You are a wonderful lot!

Hope all is fine and dandy your end :)
