Burt's Bees Reviews #2 | Lemon Butter Cuticle Creme

Whilst I was away, I did a little guest posting myself over on the ever lovely Charlotte's blog; Lil Miss Chickas. If you haven't already definitely go and check it out, it's full to the brim with amazing beauty bits and bobs and she's just a bit wonderful too.  Anyway, I thought you guys might like to have a little read of the post I wrote for her...

Burt’s Bees are fast becoming my go to brand for super indulgent, affordable beauty products. This is my second reviewon them since I received my little GrabBag a few months ago (a bargain bag filled with lots of goodies); so without further ado I introduce to you the Lemon Butter Cuticle Creme

To be honest, being a beauty blogger I should definitely take more pride in the appearance of my nails, but I usually find it such a chore. You will regularly find me with chipped and chapped nail varnish and crappy cuticles. Well, no more I tell you, no more! Not since I discovered this baby anyway…

The heavenly lemony scent was enough to have be bagged and tagged right away. It’s unlike any other I’ve tried before. The typical formulation is liquid based, and isn’t overly practical for on the go ladies, but it’s no mess and no nonsense with Burt’s Bees. The creamy, waxy consistency makes it feel far superior to its competitors and is ideal for carrying about in your handbag for on-the-go top ups. What's that I hear you say? 'Isn't it greasy?' No, it certainly is not! After using this on only a few occasions I can already see a huge difference in the appearance of my nails; they’ve soaked up all the fruity goodness and feel so soft and healthy. For only £5.99 there is no question that I will be purchasing this again and again.

What do you think? Have you explored the Burt’s Bees range yet?

Burt's Bees Reviews #1 | Lip Shimmer

You may have seen a recent post of mine, where I purchased & wrote about the Burt’s Bees Grab Bag. If you didn't, & you fancy a quickie you can have a look here. I received lots of little goodies; and I’m slowly working my way through them, one by one :)

They sent me quite a few of their Lip Shimmers; I'M IN LOVE, seriously. The ones I received came in shade rhubarb (yum); & I’d say the colour is very true to that. Obviously, being lip shimmers, they don’t carry a lot of pigmentation; however I absolutely love this shade & how it instantly brightens your lips. The gloss is very subtle & extremely moisturising. It smells just like peppermint, & gives a tingling soothing sensation on application - perfect for summer! These babies are made up with 100% natural ingredients which is something I really love & tend to look for in a product. Personally, I really love the packaging; I'm a little bit in love with Burt's Bees & the simplicity of their products aesthetically. The lip shimmers are available in 10 different shades & retail at £5.99.

I think I’m definitely going to purchase a few more colours.

What do you think? Have you tried these before? If not, & you wouldn't mind giving them a whirl you can grab them off the Burt's Bees website, here.

Ooh, P.S. I finally hopped on the iPhone wagon…so I’m now officially instagram obsessed. If you fancy following me, my username is: wonderfuly0u

Burt's Bees Grab Bag

So, you may have seen a few blog posts floating around recently regarding the Burt’s Bees Grab Bag. I heard about it through Estée from Essiebutton & I immediately wanted one; I’m like a beauty product magpie, I wan’t anything that anyone says half a good word about! Basically, you paid £20, & in return got sent a big fat bag, full of Burt’s Bees products! Great concept, non? I think so :)
L-R: Exfoliating Body Washes (4), Radiance Body Lotion (2)
L-R: Eye Cream, Nail File, Lip Balm (2), Hand Cream, Cuticle Cream,Lip Shimmer (3), Cute tin!  :

I have no doubt that some bags were wonderful, but I wasn’t too thrilled with mine. I mean, I was being a bit ‘me, me, me’ when I purchased it; I wanted to try out Burt’s Bees, & thought this was a great way to test some of their products without spending a fortune. & I know, I know, before I moan, I was aware that Burt’s Bees had added a disclaimer advising that duplicates may occur; but I couldn’t help feeling a little upset that I got 4 of the exfoliating body washes and 2 of the body lotions (I didn’t mind so much about the 3 lip shimmers & 2 balms, you can never have enough lip balms right?). That’s a hell of a lot of the same product, don’t you think? But, I’ve decided to take a positive attitude towards the slight disappointment & use the extras for birthdays coming up etc. Every cloud & all that jazz.

I wont just moan for this entire post, promise. I was really, really happy to receive the little pots of their hand cream & cuticle cream; I’m also super excited to try the eye cream :) I’ve heard great things about all of these products, so fingers crossed! I'll definitely be reviewing these at a later date, once I've had a chance to test them out. On another good note, how cute is the little tin? I am a hoarder, of EVERYTHING in life, so I love collecting pretty little tins to put my bits & bobs in.

Overall, I am a bit miffed about the amount of duplicate items, but I still feel like I’ve got great value for money, apparently the bags are worth £55, wowee! I’m getting to try some products I haven’t before, & I’ve got some extra stock for presents. Not bad, eh?

I had a look on their website this morning, & I can see they’ve now sold out; but did any of you purchase a grab bag? Were you happy with what you got?
